Some areas of this site have been modeled after [http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Main_Page Memory Alpha], a ''[[Star Trek]]'' wiki, as the framework for that website has proven to be successful. However, it is intended that this site evolve to serve the differences between the ''Star Trek'' series and the series dealt with here.

One notable difference is that ''The X-Files'', ''Millennium'' and ''Lone Gunmen'' more often reference people and things that exist in the "real world", the world outside those series, as they are set in a realistic present rather than the idealistic future of ''Star Trek''. However, as on Memory Alpha, it is appreciated that information and images regarding those people and things come from the series themselves instead of "real world" sources. Behind-the-scenes or background information about certain topics can be added to pages in italics or dedicated sections of the pages named "Background Information".

Similarly, Memory Alpha is a lot larger (being almost complete) than this site. Although this is somewhat understandable, considering that more episodes have been made of the ''Star Trek'' series than the others in total, this site attempts to produce more information about the other series than has previously been available on the internet.
