The X-Files Season 10 is a comic book series. It will continue the mysterious events left off in The Truth. It was released on June 19th, 2013. [1]

Summary

Agents Mulder and Scully reunite for the new, ongoing X-Files Season 10 comic book series. For years they investigated the paranormal, pursued the “monsters of the week,” and sought the truth behind extraterrestrial activity, along with the grand conspiracy surrounding it rooted deep within their own government.

Synopsis

The FBI mainframe has been hacked by an outside force, downloading a lot of information including the X-Files. Skinner (promoted to Deputy Director between second film and issue #1) warns Anthony Blake (Mulder, alias inspired by his favorite character The Magician) and Dr. Blake (Scully) about the breach. A unknown group called The Acolytes confront Deputy Director Skinner and Dr. Scully. Scully gets captured by the Acolytes while Deputy Director Skinner is pushed to commit suicide during a phone call with Mulder, which saved Skinner's life. Mulder launching his own investigation travels to Arlington National Cemetery to dig up the graves of The Lone Gunmen, and encountering the Lone Gunmen alive and well in a underground facility. During Mulder's investigation, he encounters the Cigarette-Smoking Man who is inconveniently not dead. The meeting with the Smoking Man revealed that the Acolytes wants Dana for their own purposes and that the Smoking Man himself might not be exactly what he think he is.

Doggett gets dispatched to the Blackstone XL Pipeline worksite in Crook County Wyoming. He discovers that the pipeline contains a gem like magnetic material and gets captured by the Acolyte group. Reyes is dispatched to the Van De Kamp residence, which she discovers that the Van De Kamps have been dead over a very long time. She is also captured by the Acolytes. Their fates are yet to be determined.

After being captured Scully finds herself in a cabin in the middle of a forest. During a fight with the Acolytes, she is rescued by what appears to be a renegade Acolyte. Scully and her rescuer follow a similar pipeline, which turns out that the material inside the pipeline provides a barrier as well as a means of offense against the Acolytes.
