Faceless Aliens/Alien Rebels[]
- The faceless aliens are a faction of extraterrestials that first appear in the season five (of the television program The X-files) episodes "Patient X" and "The Red and the Black." They resemble humans with their facial orifices sealed.
- Spoiler Alert
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- They are seen at the opening of "Patient X" causing a massed congregation to burst into flames. It is established that they are using a cattle-prod shaped medical device to cause combustion of their victims blood, and those victims are all tagged with implants, similiar to the one from removed and then returned to Scully. These victims are, in fact, test subjects of either the Syndicate or the Colonists.
- From this, the Syndicate concludes that the Faceless aliens are Rebels, who obtained a starship and are using it and thier fire-weapon to subvert the plans of the Colonists. Some of the Syndicate, most notably the Well Manicured Man, initially wanted to help the rebels in a play to stop the Colonist take-over, but the First Elder, and his supporters, decide pre-emptively to maintain their policy of collaboration with the colonists. Alex Krycek, acting independently, decides to support the rebels, and convinces Mulder, who is not fully cognizant of the proceedings, to side with them also.
- The Rebels are believed to be powerless and doomed by many of the Syndicate, despite this, the Rebels eventually massacre the Syndicate, sans Well Manicured Man, who died of unrelated causes earlier(see Syndicate).

- Spoilers end
- It is also determined that the Faceless Aliens are not naturally faceless, but rather self-mutilated as a protection against the Black oil.
Faceless Rebels[]
Should the Faceless Aliens be listed as the Faceless Rebels, seeing as that is what they are more commonly referred to as? --TheSmokingManX 02:31, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
