Samuel Aboah was a recent immigrant from Burkina Faso who was secretly a teliko, a mythical being from local Bambara folklore, which prowled the nights killing cattle and unfortunate humans. Although thought to be "spirits of the air", FBI Special Agent Fox Mulder hypothesizes that the teliko are a lost tribe of hereditary albinos that had learned, over the span of several generations, to survive by preying on nearby village inhabitants for their pituitary glands, which they lacked. This not only kept them alive, but also restored their melanin. He was also capable of contorting his body to inhuman degrees, allowing him to squeeze into impossibly narrow spaces.

For unknown reasons, Aboah left his homecountry for the United States, killing a fellow Burnikabè passenger during the flight, and sought to become a U.S. citizen. After his arrival in Philadelphia on May 17, 1996, Aboah hunted down African-American men to replenish his hormones, either ambushing his victims in blitz attacks or subduing them with a blowdart containing a plant-based toxin that induced a state of catatonic paralysis. Aboah would then abduct them and bring them to his home, where he would insert a metallic rod, a tool which he hid in his throat at all times, up the victim's nasal cavity to harvest the pituitary gland. Afterwards, he dumped the body at a nearby demolition site. Over the course of three months, he murdered five men, including 19-year old Owen Sanders and 17-year old Alfred Kittel, and nearly killed his INS agent, Marcus Duff, and Agent Mulder. Aboah was subdued after being shot by Agent Dana Scully and was to be tried for five counts of murder, but there was doubt he would even survive long enough to be tried, despite being put on hormonal therapy. (TXF: "Teliko")

Samuel Aboah was played by Willie Amakye.
