Onondaga Lake

A plastic water cooler is dragged out of Onondaga Lake in 1985.

Onondaga Lake is a stretch of water in Solvay where, in 1985, some children found a plastic water cooler floating in the water. Once the FBI, including Peter Watts, had arrived there, they discovered that the cooler contained the body of a baby, the body having severely decomposed in the polluted water. In 1997, Watts told Frank Black about this incident, mentioning that the children had found the cooler in Onondaga Lake and, in 1998, Watts vividly recalled having watched the cooler be dragged out of the water. (MM: "The Beginning & the End", "The Fourth Horseman")
