While Frank investigates reports of child abuse at a small day care center, he meets Lara Means, another member of the Millennium Group who also sees visions related to evil. She helps Frank to investigate the case and tries to prove his innocence after he is convicted of assaulting a young girl.

Background Information
- This episode may have been inspired by a number of high profile cases during the 1980's and 1990's that concerned false allegations of child abuse of various sorts taking place in day care centers, the most prominent of which being the McMartin Preschool Case.
- Actor Chris Owens, who portrays a police officer and father in this episode, also played several roles on The X-Files, including Jeffrey Spender and a younger Cigarette Smoking Man.
- Lauren Diewold is familiar to The X-files fans as Emily Sim, the biological daughter of Dana Scully.
- Kristen Cloke makes her first appearence as forensic psychologist Lara Means. She had earlier guest starred on The X-Files as Melissa Rydell, in the episode (TXF: "The Field Where I Died").
- Frank's computer display reads: "Welcome Frank. There are 805 days remaining."
