Kim Manners (January 13, 1951 – January 25, 2009) was an American television producer, director and actor best known for his work on The X-Files television series between 1995 - 2002.

Manners was the most prolific director on the show, having directed 51 episodes (just over 1/4 of the total episode count), as well as the longest serving. He also produced 159 episodes. He was known for his perfectionist and demanding approach to directing, as well as his colorful language when things were not satisfactory; the foul-mouthed character of Detective Manners in Season 3's José Chung's From Outer Space was modeled after him.

Prior to collaborating on the series, he worked on Charlie's Angels, 21 Jump Street, and Star Trek: The Next Generation. After The X-Files ended in 2002 (having directed the final episode), he served as executive producer and occasional director on the series Supernatural. He passed away due to cancer on January 25, 2009

Both the fourth season of Supernatural and a second-season episode of Breaking Bad (whose creator, Vince Gilligan, worked with Manners on The X-Files) were dedicated to him. In Season 10, Mulder places flowers down on the grave of Kim Manners, Paying respects to the director.
