Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) was a prolific German composer. In 1721 he unveiled 6 instrumental works in the German city of Brandenburg, these revered classical works became known as the Brandenburg Concertos.

Even in the Twentieth and Twenty-First Centuries the works of Bach remain popular, so much so that the Brandenburg Concerto No. 2 was included on the Golden Record about the Voyager probes launched by NASA in 1977.

Despite the notoriety of his works FBI Agent Fox Mulder confused Bach's Brandenburg Concerto #2 with Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 in 1994 (TXF: "Little Green Men").
