IDW Publishing (also known as IDW Comics and Idea & Design Works) is an American comic book company founded in 1999 by Robbie Robbins and Ted Adams. At first, the company was known for horror comics, such as 30 Days of Night. The company then began specializing in comics based on television and movie franchises, including Underworld, Godzilla, 24, Angel, CSI and Galaxy Quest. The company currently holds the license for comics based on The X-Files TV series, and started publishing such comics in June 2013.
