Edward Woodward is an English actor whose recording of Shakespeare's "Hamlet" was played to a number of intelligent chimpanzees at the Boulle Behavioral Institute. When Simon, an escaped chimp, utilised a speech program which enabled him to communicate with The Lone Gunmen, he adapted it to speak in Woodward's voice. (TLG: "Planet of the Frohikes")

He is perhaps best known for his work in the television series "The Equalizer" and also the original cult horror film The Wicker Man.
