Division Chief Blevins

The door to Division Chief Blevins' office.

Division Chief was a rank within the FBI above that of a Special Agent and roughly equal to a Section Chief.

Scott Blevins was a Division Chief in 1992 when he was placed in charge of Special Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully. (TXF: "Pilot")

By 1997, Blevins would be placed in the position of Section Chief. (TXF: "Gethsemane")

Blevins' rank was never referred to in the "Pilot" but it was seen on his door. He was later referred to as "Section Chief" five years later in "Gethsemane," which has caused some confusion with his title.
