Chuck Forsch (played by Sydney Lassick) was the roommate of Harold Spuller at a mental institution. Forsch knew of Spuller's collection of photographs of local young women, but did not seem to care or mind. Mulder and Scully, while investigating the murder of one of the women, met Forsch, who lied and said he was responsible. Immediately, he felt guilty and said multiple times "After all, I'm only a human being!", like he always does. it was he who eventually led the detectives on the trail of Nurse Innes, the real serial killer, by revealing she was taking Spuller's pills for her own drug addictions, which was ultimately her undoing that led to her being caught.
