Charles Wesley Gotts is a drug dealer and a serial killer with a signature MO of cutting into one of each of his victims' kidneys in a curved slash. Unbeknownst to Gotts, he had a daughter named Marty Glenn, who was born when Gotts killed her mother in the same fashion, nearly endangering Glenn as her mother was bleeding out and she was being born at the same time. Glenn lived through her birth, losing her mother in the process, and Gotts went on the run, but Glenn was not only left blind from nerve damage as a result of her own near-death, but she developed a psychic connection with Gotts, where she could see through Gotts' eyes, especially throughout his criminal activities, which haunted her in the visions she saw. Fox Mulder and Dana Scully were called to investigate when she was caught at the latest crime scene, apparently cleaning up after the murder. She sees visions of Gotts hitting on a woman at a bar, so she uses her one phone call to threaten him to stay away, only for the woman to be killed and shoved into a dumpster by the time Glenn's released on little evidence, assuming the woman's with the police. Glenn finds her and then admits to both murders, simply for the sake of preventing Gotts from killing again and keeping to the drug business, to obviously poor avail. Gotts' handler drops him to his fury when it's found out Glenn tipped him off and said the cops were closing in on him. When Gotts set out to kill Glenn, who by then was told the truth and put into protective custody, she knew Gotts was tracking her and knocked out the detective on her watch to steal his gun. When Gotts found the apartment, she aimed the gun and hissed "I hate the way you see me", before she shot Gotts dead and ended her visions, officially leading to her own arrest. (TXF: "Mind's Eye")
