Chantara Gomez is a prostitute and victim of the "fear monster". She falls prey to the creature as she attempts to help the police sketch-artist, Ricky. The creature, who appears to each victim as a form of mortal fear, appeared to Chantara as her pimp, Chuko Munoz, who threatened to "twist her neck off like a little chicken." Chantara is pursued by Agents Mulder and Scully when one of her red fingernails is found at the scene of sketch-artist Ricky's murder. She is taken into police custody, where she is told she will be safe. Despite this, her neck is wrung by the creature in the back seat of a police vehicle, much to the chagrin of Deputy Keith Wetzel.
