Brad Wilson was a mutual friend of both FBI Agent Tom Colton and Special Agent Dana Scully. He told Scully that a psychological profile that Colton had written on the Washington Crossing Killer had led the FBI straight to the suspect. Shortly thereafter, in 1993, Scully recounted to Colton, while the two were having lunch together, that Brad Wilson had told her about Colton's successful profile, adding that - according to rumor - Colton was on the Violent Crimes Section's fast track.
