Arlington is a county in Virginia, that lies in close proximity to Washington, D.C.


19th century

Arlington National Cemetery was established during the American Civil War as a final resting place for American military personnel who died in defense of their country.

20th century

The U.S. military's headquarters, the Pentagon, is located in Arlington and opened in the 1940s.

In 1994, FBI Agents Mulder and Scully traveled to Arlington to investigate the death of Teddy Holvey. (TXF: "The Căluşari")

In 1998, the Arlington County Police Department (ACPD) raided Alvin Kurtzweil's office on suspicion of possessing child pornography. He professed innocence, stating that it was part of a government cover-up. (TXF: Fight the Future)

21st century
