- Early: Melvin Frohike and his father are at a diner just outside of Pontiac, Michigan, when he notices Stan Mizer using a glass of water to power his 1959 Studebaker Lark. Mizer gives them a ride in his car and Frohike remembers this event very fondly. (TLG: "Like Water for Octane")
