Mythology episodes are the best, though! At least they used to be. Remember super soldiers and all the Season 8-9 episodes? Brilliant! Although TXF wasn't very mainstream back then...
That's true, and I actually didn't mind Season 8, in fact, it's in one of my top 3 all-time favorite seasons.
But yeah that's true. And I did love some of the older mythology episodes. They are still my favorites and after re-watching season 8 and 9. I still liked Season 8 and even the mythology episodes were not as bad.
Mythology episodes honestly were the highlights of TXF for me. Now there's just okay. And MOTW episodes are mainstream, but really going down in quality.
Me too. I still enjoy the early season ones so much and still do. Yeah, they are kinda going down. I'm so glad they didn't do any sequels to popular ones like Eve, The Host etc. to be honest I expect them to be horrible if they did any sequels now. Even though the Eve clones is my all-time most wanted sequel.
In my opinion, Chris Carter and Glen Morgan are getting a little too old for this... XD
They do need some fresh blood and not all people who were born in the 50s doing the show. Nothing wrong with that, just this show needs some fresh blood in the writer's room.
There needs to be something that wraps up the series.
I agree. But I don't think they can find the time. I'm surprised they didn't consider the last two episodes to just be a 2-parter. Because the first and last of season 11 are mythology episodes. Unlike the original series final being a 2-hour final, but that was bad because it was half Mulder's trial.
I'm just thinking that Scully's vision will basically come to pass or be prevented. But is a 43-minute series final really going to be enough? I think we need 2 hours.
honestly speaking, the X-Files has gone a really far. There is a ton of room for improvement and change. But is there a need to go down every single path quirk? there is a lot of room where this can but the main 2 actors are getting old. He's approaching 60 and she's 50 this year. I'd hate to see some old age Mulder walking around without resolving his goals. I'd love to see an enormous season 12 or even 13 that would be completely 100% dedicated to wrapping the series, major and minor.
I'd love to see books written more. Stories that could be centered on stuff that would be on the side lines or B-channel. Such as a story on the Cigarette Smoking Man.
