Hello everyone.
It was announced two months ago, but I just found out today, that IDW Publishing will be making a new X-Files comic book series titled "The X-Files Season 10".
It is stated that the series will take place after the most recent X-Files film, I Want to Believe, and will last for quite some time while it re-establishes the mythology element as well as the monster of the week element of the series.
It is also very interesting Chris Carter himself will be the executive producer of the comic series.
How do you guys feel about this comic book series that is coming? Are you excited? Will you read it? Is it a good idea?
Personally, I love comic books and graphic novels and I remember reading old Batman and X-Men comics when I was younger. The only comic book series I have recently read are the Kick-Ass series as well as the wonderful new Sigil series.
So reading The X-Files comics should not be that bad. There were other X-Files comic books in the past and some of them were good and some of them were weird. But overall, I think this Season 10 series should be interesting, especially since Chris Carter is involved with the comics. This is similar to Joss Whedon helping with the Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 8 comic book series. I have the first few of those comic book series and after finishing the television series and reading the comics, they were fun to read. X-Files should be the same.
So, what do you all think?
