I thought it would be interesting to start a thread where we could share good, reliable books or documentaries about paranormal phenomena such as the ones discussed in the X-Files series we have come across.
I am currently reading a translation of German theologian Kurt E. Koch's Christian Counselling and Occultism and it feels like listening to Mulder and Scully arguing and rationalizing around. 120 paranormal cases are mentioned form the 600 Dr Koch (1913-1987) has seen in his carreer, and he exposes both the psychiatric, medical and spiritual possible explanations. Fascinating.
Blumhardt's Battle: A Conflict with Satan, an English translation of 19th century German theologian Johann Christoph Blumhardt's report of his 2 year-long counselling and exorcism efforts with possession victim Gottliebin Dittus had me sleeping with the light on for many nights, but it does offer hope and a positive outcome in the end.
Visions beyond the veil by Harold A. Baker about Chinese orphans who had simultaneous visions of spiritual things at pastor Baker's orphanage in the 1920s.
What books have you found relevant and well-written about the paranormal?
